09.06.06 - Brutus was a somewhat unexpectedly soon foster. I was still pretty heartbroken over losing McBean and trying to decide how long to wait. Losing the fosters is by far the hardest part of this process. However, Pit Bull Rescue San Diego had an emergency and had to move a litter of 3 9 week old babies out of their current foster home and divide them into different ones. The foster coordinator was frantic and so, in a moment of weakness, I offered to take the sweetest one. That's who I got - little Brutus. His name is completely off as he is sweet as pie. He has the funniest little pig belly and trots along like he owns the place. He is brave enough to run out and explore new vistas but always scurries back to jump in and out of my lap. Borrego tolerates him so far but I think she wishes he'd stop trying to hump her...
